Writing as fast as I can...

Too many story ideas and too little time. *sigh* I been so busy with Life, hunting for a "real job" and writing, I haven't blogged in quite a while. I thought it time to blow the dust off Blogger. Too bad IE keeps shutting down every time I try to update my blog links, etc. *grrr* What is up with that? Maybe I'll blame it on Vista! LOL

For those of you who have been following the saga of my 2007 Brava Novella Contest finaling story, Relentless, thanks so much for your support! I'm afraid I have no news to report. The full has been in NY since February and you will be the first to know if I hear one way or another on that one. Okay, maybe only if I hear good news. LOL

I hope to soon have good news on another book that I believe has found a nice home. I'm just waiting for that deal to be inked before I speak. I'm superstitious that way. ;-)

I've been updating my links to my fellow authors. They are very talented writers and are well-worth a click to their web sites and blogs.

Back to work! More later, Gentle Readers!

SIN Releases Today at Cobblestone Press!!!

Yay! My novella, SIN, for the Cobblestone Press IN THE CARDS: THE VAMPIRE ORACLE anthology releases today!

Here's a quick blurb:

Catherine’s a nurse and vampire. A woman with a guilty conscience, a strong sense of patriotism and a passion for guarding warriors. She’d die for them—if she could.

Ben’s a former Army Ranger traumatized by war and a bad marriage, who now leads an elite team of consultants in war-torn Iraq and passionately denies the existence of all things paranormal.

Stunning desire sweeps over them at first sight, but their differences are concrete. Together they must defeat a common foe, find his missing team and stop a massive terror plot before thousands of soldiers and innocent Iraqis die.

I hope you get a chance to stop by Cobblestone-Press and check it out!

Stay tuned! A very special guest, Ms. Davina Kemp, Senior Editor of Vampstyle Magazine will be visiting to interview Catherine and Ben, the major players in SIN. ;-)

I'VE BEEN TAGGED! 7 Things Meme

The rules:

Tell seven random and/or interesting things about myself. Get five blog buddies to play, too and link to their blogs. Don’t forget to post the rules.

7 things I dream about…

1. A NY publishing deal.

2. To sell more e-pub books.

3. For even one of my Big Real Life Problems to go away. LOL I'm not greedy. Even the loss of one would help.

4. To write faster and better. Increase my overall productivity.

5. To meet Adrian Paul. I'm a huge Highlander fan and I'm hugely jealous of all my buds that went to RT and got to see him in person.

6. To make a living writing.

7. To get involved in the entertainment industry again via my writing.

Those are my top seven dreams for the moment. The order varies from time to time. LOL

Oy! Now I have to tag other people. I hope they'll forgive me. :-)

I’ll tag…

MysticKat, MK Mancos, Kathleen Scott

Debra Moore, Moira Reid

Kris Eton

MG Braden

Lillian Feisty

I'M A FINALIST!!!!

I couldn't be more thrilled! I found out Monday that my entry, Relentless, is one of 20 finalists in the 2007 Brava Novella Contest!!!

You can view my entry here.

As I've said everywhere else, I'm beside myself with joy over this. There were so many wonderful entries and I can't even begin to describe what this means to me. I'm so grateful to Brava and to the author judges and contest admins for this opportunity!

The remaining two finalists will be announced this coming Monday, then Readers'Choice voting will commence some time after that, though the winner of the contest will be selected by Kate Duffy, Kensington Editorial Director.

Stay tuned for future updates and the opening of Reader's Choice voting!
